CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare's 21st annual Spring Luncheon is excited to announce actor and director Sean Astin.
Astin is widely celebrated for his unforgettable roles in film and television. Most recently, he played Bob Newby in Season 2 of Netflix’s Stranger Things. Astin is also renowned for his iconic performances in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Rudy, and The Goonies. Astin will share his personal journey with mental health awareness, shaped by his experiences with his late mother, actress Patty Duke, who faced her own mental health challenges.
Co-chaired by Margaret O'Donnell and Terra Seidel, Spring Luncheon will honor the Houston Philanthropy Circle for its essential contributions to building impactful connections within our community. HPC has created a powerful platform for organizations like CHRISTUS to collaborate with community leaders and amplify their impact. CHRISTUS has been featured in HPC’s Nonprofit Symposiums, which bring together faith-based nonprofits and philanthropists to foster transformative partnerships. This invaluable collaboration has empowered CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare to strengthen its mission across the Houston-Galveston region.
All funds raised through the 2025 Spring Luncheon will support mental health initiatives through our programs.
