Student-Driven HANDs Project Raises Funds For CHRISTUS St. Mary’s Clinic
Maegan Ford loves community service. A recent graduate who received her high school diploma from Spring Early College Academy concurrently with an Associates Degree in Science from Lone Star College, Ford has contributed over 125 hours to Houston-based programs.
Through a recent young women’s leadership conference, Ford learned about a Take Action Challenge to benefit her community and developed one called Heroes And Neighbors for a Difference (HANDs).
“HANDs was created as a way to assist those who need a helping hand by raising donations for CHRISTUS St. Mary’s Clinic,” Ford said.
The donation campaign ran through the month of June and raised $575 for CHRISTUS St. Mary’s Clinic.
“Hopefully, the HANDs Project donations to St. Mary’s Clinic can help provide the vital gift of opportunity through affordable, quality healthcare services to those in need,” Ford said.
We are grateful for her support of our work and wish her the best of luck at the University of Texas – Dallas in the fall.
