CHRISTUS Point of Light Clinic
Care for Those with Limited Income
CHRISTUS Point of Light Clinic is located in Dickinson, Texas, a medically-underserved community 30 miles southeast of Houston. Led by family practitioner Sister Ricca Dimalibot, M.D., and family nurse practitioner Elizabeth Ryan, MSN, RN, NP-C, the Clinic opened in 1989 in response to a growing need for healthcare providers in a low-income area between Houston and Galveston. Over 30 years later, the Clinic continues to provide quality, affordable healthcare to thousands of men, women and children annually.

CHRISTUS Point of Light
For Nurse Practitioner Elizabeth Ryan, working at CHRISTUS Point of Light Clinic “is a privilege.”
Born in Maryland and raised in Atlanta, Ryan moved to Houston in 2003. Prior to seeking her Masters, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Medical College of Georgia and then worked in various nursing capacities for 25 years. She received her Masters in Nursing Degree at UT Health Science at Houston.
She first heard about CHRISTUS Point of Light Clinic years ago and began working there in May 2019. While there are many things Ryan loves about being a Nurse Practitioner, her biggest love is the “interaction with patients.”
“I was a bedside nurse for 25 years, because I loved patient care,” Ryan said. “That is still true.”
Elizabeth Ryan, MSN, RN, NP-C
