CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare Announces New President

CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare President Richarsd R. TorresCHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard R. Torres to the position of President and Executive Director, CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare. Torres will begin on Monday, June 11, 2018.

He comes to the Foundation from BBVA Compass where he served as the Vice President & Community Relations Officer of the Texas Gulf Coast, Corporate Responsibility and Reputation.

Torres is the immediate past Chairman of the Board for CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare. He served from January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2017 and has been a director since 2003. Torres also chaired on several foundation committees during his tenure.

Torres holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, and he is a graduate of the American Leadership Forum Class XVI. He is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional.

He is currently serving on the board of the Houston Downtown Management District and Houston Wilderness.

Torres was instrumental in the planning and implementation of community relations programs that support the corporate responsibility objectives for community outreach, reputation building and business development throughout the Texas Gulf Coast region.
