Join us for the Family-Friendly Nun Run Presented by USFHP
CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare announces the 14th Annual Nun Run presented by USFHP on Saturday, Oct. 13. The Nun Run is a 40-mile, Blue Knights police-escorted motorcycle ride. The event raises funds for 19 CHRISTUS School Clinics in Houston’s underserved communities.
Fun from the Starting to the Finish Line
This year’s family-friendly event begins at the Villa De Matel Convent, located at 6510 Lawndale St., Houston, Tx, 77023. The finish line will be the same as last year, at the Top Water Grill at 815 Avenue O, in San Leon.
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. with kick stands up at 10:30 a.m.
This year’s event includes breakfast, lunch, a commemorative gift along with live music and other activities.
Who Does the Nun Run Benefit?
Many of the school children who benefit from the funds raised at the Nun Run, come from economically disadvantaged families. Due to hardships, these families have difficulty accessing the medical care they need to get well and stay healthy. The clinics provide the children with medical and mental health care including diagnosis and treatment for illnesses and injuries, screening, prescription medication, vaccinations and counseling.
The School Clinics help limit the financial hardship a sick child can have on a low-income family. For additional information, call Danielle Ivie at 713-803-1808 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org
We are grateful for your support and thank you for making a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.
