Ways to Help

In times of crisis, our patients and clients look to us for care and direction. As COVID-19 dictates changes in how we operate our programs, we wanted to provide you with an update.

For CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread, our homeless outreach in Galveston, we have limited our services to decrease exposure among our clients and staff. As you can see in the video, we are serving over 500 meals a week to our clients, providing the nutrition they need during this crisis. We are also providing:

  • porta potties and hand-washing stations in our parking lot
  • outdoor outlets for phone charging
  • mail pickup
  • clothing and toiletry items once a week

In addition, CHRISTUS St. Mary’s Clinic and Point of Light Clinic remain open offering essential healthcare services to existing and new patients. We are also providing:

  • COVID-19 screening prior to entrance to the building provided by Healthy Living Mobile Clinic and School Clinics staff at the each clinic
  • information on testing locations
  • how to get testing for those that exhibit symptoms
  • 3-month prescription supplies to those patients whose presciption allows it

During this time of uncertainty, we look to you to support our important missions for the underserved and uninsured.

Today, you can make a gift to CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare that will directly address COVID-19 needs. Please leave the designation as "Area of Greatest Need" and place "COVID-19" in the comment section. This designation will provide us flexibility as the situation changes over time.

We appreciate your continued support of our missions.
