Together, we're building healthier lives for the underserved and uninsured across Greater Houston.

In 1866, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word arrived in Galveston carrying nothing but a promise: to heal “the sick and infirm of every kind.” In 1887, that promise grew into St. Joseph’s Infirmary — Houston’s first general hospital, and the first heartbeat of a mission that has never stopped.

Today, our work looks different. The focus has shifted from hospital beds to primary care and the services that keep people well before they ever need one. But the calling hasn’t changed. CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare still stands beside the underserved and the uninsured — every faith, every age, every culture — across Greater Houston and Galveston.

Real Numbers. Real Impact.

In 2025, supporters helped us:

  • Deliver 93,417 healthcare services to underserved families
  • Serve 23,175 hot meals to those facing hunger
  • Provide $4.3 million in free prescription medication

Donations changes lives. You can bring hope to families who have nowhere else to turn.
