Westwood Wealth Management Joins the Fight to Care for Galveston’s Homeless

Westwood Wealth Management, an investment management organization, does more than just give back. The organization invests where it counts, championing CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread’s values. Westwood Wealth Management is helping to make the homeless services facility’s intentions a reality.

For 34 years, CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread has worked to help the underserved population on Galveston Island experiencing homelessness. The facility offers everything from medical assistance and counseling services to meals twice a day and a host of other services.

“We customize our approach for clients because we understand that everyone’s need is different,” said Leah Bennett, CFA, and President of Westwood Wealth Management Houston. “CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread does the same.”

In March 2019, Westwood Wealth Management underwrote a Galveston cocktail reception featuring special guest Chris Gardner. The organization volunteers by serving the Thanksgiving meal at CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread annually and plans to continue supporting the mission.

Both CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread and Westwood Wealth Management, promote a shared organizational culture and
purpose of wanting to be helpful and working towards a holistic approach in trying to provide real solutions for client needs.

“Using phenomenal resources for clients with specific needs, whether it’s support for someone with addiction problems or someone who is largely Spanish-speaking and needs help finding a job, Our Daily Bread personalizes resources for the
individual in need,” said Bennett.
