CHRISTUS Healthy Living Mobile Clinics
Vehicles for Care,
CHRISTUS Healthy Living Mobile Clinics fill a healthcare void by providing direct access for men, women and children that might otherwise remain excluded from care. Our two mobile units reach medically under-served and often hard-to-reach segments of the population, many of whom go undiagnosed for major health problems until health issues become critical. We service six area counties including Harris, Galveston, Montgomery, Waller, Fort Bend, and Brazoria.
Clinic Staff Profile
Sr. Theresa earned a Bachelor of Art at University of St. Thomas, and taught Math and Latin at Incarnate Word Academy in Houston for seven years. Coming from a family of nurses, Sister Theresa decided she would return to school and now holds a Masters Degree in Nursing. Sr. Theresa worked on the Medical and Surgical floor at St. Joseph Hospital for 15 years. With the sale of the hospital, Sr. Theresa transferred to CHRISTUS Healthy Living Mobile Clinics.
“Having been with the mobile unit for 20 years now I have seen many changes and much growth in the program. My favorite part of my job is helping patients, especially the uninsured, detect that they have one of the “silent killers” like hypertension and diabetes.”
